Facility in Altoona, PA seeking Cardiothoracic Surgery locums coverage Rates: $4000/day Position Details: Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery Start Date: November 4, 2024 Schedule: Part-time; typically 2 long weekends per month (Thursday-Monday) with additional coverage during holidays and PTO. Shift Requirements: Provider will cover from Thursday 7am to Monday 7am (consecutive days). Call Requirements: Minimal calls on inpatients and admissions, rare urgent surgeries needed overnight. Must be within 30-minute response time (hotel stay provided nearby). On Call: Yes, 24-hour call with in-house rounding and surgical cases. Rounding: Includes inpatients, cases, and clinic duties (clinic and TAVR on Wednesdays). Average Admissions While On Call: 2 EMR: EPIC & Cerner Practice Information: Cases Seen: Bread and butter cardiac surgeries such as CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting), AVR (Aortic Valve Replacement), MVR (Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement). Support: No APP coverage on weekends, and OR staff is on-call only. Patient Mix: 100% adult cases. Requirements: Board Certified – REQUIRED Pennsylvania State License – REQUIRED Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience.
