Full-time Family Medicine Residency Prog. Faculty needed in San Antonio, TX

Job description

The Family Medicine Residency Program Faculty member provides support to the Family Medicine Associate Program Director to ensure the quality of the educational experience for the residents. The faculty are the expert competency evaluators who work closely with the Program Director and Associate Program Director, who assist in developing and implementing the evaluation system, and who teach and advise residents. This position is with a full-service primary health care system.

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited U.S. Medical School (Osteopathic highly preferred)
Must possess a current unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of Texas
Board certification in Family Medicine or participating in activities similar to Family Medicine maintenance of certification as approved by the Review Committee
Annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty
Current DEA, and other such certificates to legally operate as a practitioner in the State of Texas
Hospital privileges at designated area hospitals if required for specialty
Experience in faculty of residency program preferred
