Practice Setting: Physician Office / Surgical Support

Position Overview
Join an established Urology practice providing comprehensive diagnostic, surgical, and post-operative care. Working under a supervising surgeon, the Nurse Practitioner will balance clinical office-based evaluations with surgical first-assisting and procedural work. This role requires a high degree of manual dexterity and a commitment to a collaborative, physician-led team.

Clinical Responsibilities
Surgical Support: Assist the Urology surgeon in diagnosing and treating urologic conditions; provide direct assistance during urologic surgeries and office-based procedures.

Patient Management: Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and manage post-operative and follow-up care.

Diagnostics: Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.

Education: Provide in-depth patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and long-term treatment goals.

Coordination: Act as a clinical liaison between physicians, nurses, LPNs, Medical Assistants, and clerical staff to ensure seamless departmental operations.

Physical & Environmental Demands
Clinical Environment: This is an OSHA Category I role involving regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, and communicable diseases. Strict adherence to universal precautions is required.

Physical Activity: * Primary: Sitting, talking, and hearing (2/3 or more of the workday).

Secondary: Standing, walking, and reaching (Up to 1/3 of the workday).

Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Manual Dexterity: High level of hand/finger coordination required for clinical documentation and surgical assisting.

Vision: Must possess strong close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
