Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) – Level III NICU
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Permanent Placement
Shift Structure: Varied rotation (24-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shifts)
Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner / Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive inpatient care within a high-acuity Level III NICU. This role functions within a structured, team-based environment, collaborating closely with on-staff Neonatologists to manage critically ill and premature infants.

Primary Responsibilities
Clinical Management: Perform neonatal assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management of critically ill newborns and premature infants.
Specialized Care: Support the stabilization and high-level management of high-risk newborns.
Procedures & Documentation: Utilize Epic EMR for accurate, timely documentation and clinical tracking.
Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care plans with Neonatologists, nursing, and ancillary teams.
Family Support: Provide essential education and counseling to families regarding neonatal conditions and complex treatment plans.
Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols and quality standards.
Schedule & Clinical Setting
Shift Details: A flexible mix of 24-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour inpatient shifts.
Weekend Requirements: Weekends are required as part of the varied inpatient shift rotation.
Call Requirements: No call required.
Practice Model: Structured, team-based model with supportive physician supervision (not an autonomous practice).
Required Qualifications
Education: Successful completion of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) program.
Certification: Board Certified in Neonatal NP / NNP (must be certified by start date).
Licensure: Active Michigan (MI) State License.
Life Support: Current BLS and NRP Certifications are mandatory.
Experience: Open to New Graduates who are truly board-eligible.
Technical Skills: Experience with Epic EMR is highly preferred.
Compliance: Must have a clean malpractice and license history. A Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days) is required at the time of presentation.
Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident (No visa support available).
