Hem/Onc APP Needed in San Francisco, CA

Start Date: 1/5/26

Contract Length: 24 weeks

Schedule: full time, either 5x8 or 4x10 days, weekends required

Work Details:
• Support staff: Infusion center is staffed by APPs and RNs, some MAs. APPs work through referrals from oncology counterparts – it’s autonomous APP work, independent visits, run like a consultative model. APPs drive a lot of work on their own either by primary onc provider or nurses coming to them with new issues. APP manages adverse reactions, transfers, and direct admissions with ED.
• Procedures: N/A – removing lines preferred
• Amount of coverage needed per month: full time only
• Patients per day: 8-10
• Patient population/age: adults
• EMR: epic
• Patient care management of specific disease groups in oncology
• Experience in managing onc patients from diagnosis through treatment
• Oncology inpatient exp preferred
• Facility works directly with inpatient services

Practice Setting:
• outpatient
• Hospital

Requirements:
• License required: CA required - must have masters degree in physician assistant studies
• DEA: CA DEA Schedule 2 required
• Certifications preferred: OCN or AOCNP
• Minimum experience required: 2-3 years required working in specific oncology areas. Infusion experience preferred. Must have some inpatient or high-acuity experience. Will not consider providers who only have outpatient exp. Will consider BMT and hematology experience.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
