Urgent Need: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast

Overview: MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a supportive and dynamic environment. Job Information:

Vaccination Requirements: Flu and COVID with booster (to be determined at credentialing)
Client: MUSC Health
Worksite: MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast
Total Number of FTEs Needed: 1
Reason for Coverage: Fill in gaps of 24-hour coverage
Schedule:

Coverage Dates: Starting April 7, 2025, ongoing
Shift Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7am-7am)
Commitment: Minimum 3 months, preferably 6 months
Shifts per Month: 5-14 shifts per month
Practice Details:

Patients per Day/Volume: New program, average PPD not established yet
Type of Patients/Cases: Must be comfortable with patients 32 weeks and resuscitation, CPAP, peripheral IVs, ART sticks, managing ventilators, administering pulmonary surfactant, umbilical lines, catheters, and other sick baby-related procedures. Circumcision experience preferred.
Support Staff: MD Physicians on each shift
EMR: EPIC
Requirements:

Certifications: Board Certified in Pediatrics, BLS, PALS
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience
License: Active South Carolina License (no DEA needed)
Skills: Proficient in neonatal resuscitation, CPAP, ventilator management, and other critical care procedures for sick infants.
