Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Full-time (with occasional evenings or weekends)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician (MD/DO) specializing in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine to join our team at AMKY Health. The Physician will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. This role involves occasional hospital rounding and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment & Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to develop accurate treatment plans.
Diagnose and manage a variety of acute and chronic health conditions.
Treatment & Management:
Prescribe medications and administer treatments aligned with best practices.
Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on preventive care and health management.
Care Coordination:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Coordinate patient referrals to specialists as needed and manage follow-up care.
Support hospital inpatient rounds occasionally to provide continuity of care.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate patient records in the Advanced MD EMR system.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory documentation standards.
Participate in hospital credentialing processes as needed.
Quality Improvement:
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
Stay up to date with current clinical guidelines and best practices.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Valid medical license to practice in the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain).
Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience as a practicing physician, preferably in a primary care or family medicine setting.
We are also willing to consider recent graduates.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR), particularly Advanced MD, is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management abilities.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Working Conditions:
Environment: Clinic setting with occasional hospital rounds.
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with potential for occasional evening or weekend shifts.
Physical Demands: Includes standing, walking, and lifting patients when necessary.
