Director, Adult/Older Adult System Care - Substance Use Treatment Services

The Director, Adult and Older Adult System of Care is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the operations and staff in Adult Substances Use Treatment Services (SUTS) within the Behavioral Health Services Department (BHSD). This position reports to the Deputy Director and is responsible for the strategic direction, development/expansion, and operations and service delivery system for individuals with substance use disorders through Medi-Cal or who are uninsured. This position will serve as an executive leader within BHSD and will coordinate strategic efforts across multiple systems, including the broader health system, Public Health Department, and other community partners involved in the delivery of substance use treatment services.
Required Background and Experience:
A qualified candidate must possess education and experience equivalent to a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, Nursing, Public Administration or a closely related field, and five (5) years of recent administrative level experience in the management of behavioral health, substance use, inpatient and residential programs, and/or services for adults and older adults and experience in the development and operations of temporary shelter and permanent housing programs. Licensure in the Behavioral Health field such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Psychologist is preferred.
